Best friend to the Kardashians, Johnathan Cheban who legally changed his name to Foodgod last year, has revealed that he was robbed at gunpoint while in New Jersey over the weekend.

According to the star’s rep, Johnathan was on holidays with his mother and close friend in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey when the incident took place around 8:30pm.

Pointing a gun to his mother’s forehead, the thieves demanded Foodgod’s Richard Mille watch worth a staggering $250,000, before fleeing the scene.

Apparently, two men were spotted making an escape on a nearby route and thankfully, nobody was physically hurt besides Foodgod having the watch pulled off his wrist.

This traumatic event comes almost four years after best friend Kim Kardashian was also held at gunpoint in her hotel bedroom in Paris.

She was attending Paris Fashion Week when masked burglars broke into her bedroom, tied her up and stole millions in jewellery.

Eleven suspects were changed in relation to the burglary and Kim took a break from social media in the months that followed. Opting to stop posting in real time for a while, Kim believed that she didn’t help her own case by posting her flashy jewels on Instagram in the days leading up to the robbery.

Previously telling Ellen that she’s grateful in a way for what happened, Kim told the chat show host that it’s made her less “materialistic”.

“Not that there’s anything bad about having things and working hard to get those things — and I’m really proud of everyone that’s around me that’s successful. But I’m so happy that my kids get this me. And that this is who is raising my kids. Because I just don’t care about that stuff anymore, I really don’t.”

Johnathan “Foodgod” Cheban has yet to release a personal statement following the incident.
