Keke Palmer And Darius Jackson Have Split After His Remarks About Her Outfit

Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson have officially called it quits.

The end of the relationship comes just one month after Darius publicly shamed Keke for the outfit she chose to wear to an Usher concert.

The Nickelodeon star attended Usher’s My Way Las Vegas residency back in July, where she was personally serenaded by the 00s heartthrob. Keke decided to dress up for the occasion – as we all would for a concert! – and wore a black sheer dress over a thong bodysuit.

Following the concert, her partner Darius shared his reaction to the outfit via Twitter, a reaction that shocked people around the world.

Darius quote tweeted: “It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom.”

After he caught a lot of backlash for the somewhat controversial tweet, Darius jumped in to try and save his own skin. He tweeted saying that the outfit Keke was wearing went against the “standards and morals” he believes in.

He said: “We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is. This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”

In the following weeks, Darius removed photos of himself and Keke together from his social media, while the 29-year-old leaned into the drama, keeping things entertaining for everyone involved.

The whole story came to a dramatic close when Keke revealed she was starring in Usher’s new music video for his song Boyfriend.

A source has since confirmed with Entertainment Tonight that the pair have split. They have been co-parenting their six-month-old son, Leodis since.

They said: “Keke and Darius called it quits shortly after he called her out on Twitter for her outfit at the Usher concert. Keke is focusing on her work and her 6-month-old son. The actor and Darius have been co-parenting, but for now, they aren’t together.”
