When you think of KFC you think of smacking your lips, licking your fingers, this tastes amazing, type of food – right? Well, not for much longer.

In possibly the most shocking news to come from the Coronavirus pandemic, the fast-food chain is now dropping it’s infamous ‘finger-lickin good’ slogan from its brand.

Assuming in this current climate that one’s hands are never clean enough, KFC is putting a temporary halt to their slogan to line up with expert advice and guidelines amid the pandemic, which all involve not putting your hands to your face, let alone into your gob.

Their solution to the problem is to simply pixelate out their slogan on all their packaging and branding, with the slogan now simply reading ‘It’s good’.

Speaking about the situation, Catherine Tan-Gillespie, global chief marketing officer at KFC said:

“We find ourselves in a unique situation – having an iconic slogan that doesn’t quite fit in the current environment,”

Unveiling their altered slogan in a YouTube video, in which it said: “That thing we always say? Ignore it. For now.” The good news for those who love to give a good finger lick however, is that the altered slogan isn’t forever. KFC has said that they will bring back the finger-lickin’ “when the time is right”.

Right, scientists hurry up with that vaccine, we want to enjoy the full experience of our fast food again *shrugs*.
