And Just Like That…Samantha Jones is back!

Earlier this week, it was announced that Kim Cattrall would be reprising her iconic role in Sex And The City’s reboot, And Just Like That.

As one of the most beloved characters Samantha was sorely missed from the first season, and recently she has once again developed a cult following. With her one-liners going viral on TikTok. So fans are pretty thrilled to have her back.

But Kim’s return reportedly came with conditions. According to Page Six: “Kim had two stipulations -—one, that she would not act with any of the other girls, and two, she did not want to see Michael Patrick King.”

It has been reported that Samantha’s appearance will take place as a phone call in the series two finale, which would allow for the scene to be filmed separately.

There has been alleged long-time tension between the Carrie Bradshaw a.k.a. Sarah Jessica Parker.

Though the leading ladies appeared as best friends while the cameras were rolling, a viral interview Cattrall did with Piers Morgan in 2017 said otherwise. Cattrall shared that she had no interest in a rumoured third film, and claimed that the group had “never been friends”.

More specifically, Cattrall mentioned co-star Parker, noting that she “could’ve been nicer”.

So when Parker and fellow stars Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon decided to take part in a revival series in 2021, it came as a surprise to no one that Cattrall was not keen to take part.

However, the actress claims she was never asked to be a part of the new show, and found out about it through social media.

Kim isn’t the only star returning to the reboot, as John Corbett will be reprising his role as Aidan for season two. While the actor claimed to have been appearing in season one, fans were confused when he was nowhere in site. However, his season two introduction has been officially confirmed.

You can catch Kim and John on season two of ‘And Just Like That…’ on Now TV and Sky Comedy, June 22nd.
