KT Tunstall Has Opened Up About Discovering She Has Two Half Sisters

KT Tunstall has opened up about what it was to find two half sisters she never knew she had.

The singer was on a quest to find out more about her biological father after being adopted as a baby.

KT had met with her biological mother, Hong Kong-born Carol-Ann Orr, in 1998.

She discovered then that her birth father had been against the adoption. Her birth parents split and lost contact and though KT tried to find her dad in 2000, she never managed to.

The Suddenly I See singer turned to ITV’s Long, Lost Family for more answers and ended up meeting new family members.

Sadly the singer’s father died in John Gabriel died in 2002 and so she never got to meet him.

However, the star did find out that she had two sisters she never knew about.

Siobhan and Lesley-Anne are 41 and 39, just a few years younger that 44-year-old KT.

She met with her sisters in January and producers told the singer that her siblings already had tickets to her gig in Dunfermline without knowing they were related.

“I was like, this is too much of a coincidence,” she said. “I was so nervous. I’ve never had sisters – it’s a beautiful surprise. We did keep staring at each other, going, ‘We’ve got the same eyes, the same cheeks, the same dimples.’ It’s so weird.” she said.

“To find these two extraordinary women who I look like, I feel like, I have a total kinship with, really share deep personality traits and certainly share world views with. I’m still pinching myself,” she revealed.

Just last month Rochelle Humes also reunited with her half-sister with the help of Love Island’s Kem Cetinay.
