It’s the news all Westlife fans want to hear, that they have “so much planned.” Band manager, Louise Walsh has teased that he’s “dying” to return to work and they have lot planned.

It seems the group had lots on for 2020, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, much has been cancelled or postponed.

Whilst speaking to Jenny Grenne on 2FM, Louis Walsh also shared that the band will be releasing new music;”I’m dying to get back to work with Westlife next year because they’re going to do a new album, they’re going to do the biggest tour of the year next year.”

“We’ve got so much planned but we can’t do anything yet.”

However Louis also shares his disappointment that so much has had to be cancelled this year; “We will get through it you know what I mean.”

“I hope it all goes back to normal next year. It’s a whole new year and we have to deal with a whole new challenge.

Despite this, the X Factor judge spoke about how much he has enjoyed this extended period of time off and that he’s rediscovered his love of Ireland;”I went around Ireland, I went down to the West of Ireland, I went to Ashford Castle and I discovered so many new places all along the Atlantic Way.

“It was quite amazing. So I’m discovering Ireland even though I’m from here.”

It hasn’t all been glamorous staycations for the 68 year old, as like the rest of us he’s been filling his time spent at home;”I’m watching trashy TV, I’m listening to music.

“I’m hoovering, I’m watching TV, I’m getting lots of takeaway food, I’m driving every day.

“I’m enjoying life as much as I can and I love being in Dublin. I’ve never been in Dublin so much.”
