Matt Damon’s Lush Dalkey Pad Is Available To Rent Again From This Weekend
We can exclusively reveal that Matt Damon does not come with the gaff.
It looks like Matt Damon’s time in Ireland has finally come to an end *sigh*.
During the two months, the star has provided us with quite some entertainment after he got stuck here while filming for his new movie, The Last Duel. From never saying no to a selfie with locals at coffee shops and bookstores around Dalkey, to carrying his beach towels in a SuperValu bag, we took him in, we moulded him and now, we must let him fly the nest.
And although Matt, we’re sure, is equally sad to be leaving Ireland, his mega gaff on Sorrento Road is now available to rent again.
Giving an interview with SPIN 1038 last week, Matt explained how he was planning to stay in Ireland until the end of the month to finish his kids homeschooling but then, would be making the move back to New York to be reunited with his eldest daughter, 20-year-old Alexia. Speaking on the radio station’s morning show, Matt explained how Alexia got “Covid early on” with her college roommates but thankfully, noted that all of them are now “doing fine”.
And so, as Matt leaves Ireland, the gaff he was staying in is now looking for new bookings. Described as Dalkey’s “hidden gem”, the house also notes that it’s situated among the stars, with Bono, The Edge and basically all of U2 as your neighbours.
The house owned by Eddie Irvine, ex Ferrari Formula 1 Driver features 5,000 sq.ft, an outdoor swimming pool which is ideal for our current heatwave plus, to top it all off, there’s also a bar, a sauna and a jacuzzi.
Now, as to be expected the house isn’t cheap (welcome to Dublin) and two nights rent works out at about €2,600.
However, it can sleep up to 10 guests so, if a staycation ever looks likely for us this year, this could be a potential shout with the girl gang.
You can check out the property here.
