Molly-Mae Hague has opened up about her life as an influencer and how she needs to be careful about what she talks about.

The influencer came under fire last month for making claims about hard work and how ‘everyone’ has the same 24 hours in a day.

Many took issue with the claim, pointing out that Molly-Mae has a privilege not everyone has. Reflecting on public comments she makes, she said that she “can’t please everyone”.

However, she did acknowledge that she has a responsibility to her 6 million Instagram followers to be mindful of what she says.

“I’ve got a lot of young followers that are extremely affected by the things I say, so I’ve got to be super careful.”

She pointed out that while she is conscious of her large following, not everyone is going to like everything she does. “I’ve had to accept over the last three years that I’m not going to be able to keep everyone happy. It’s not possible.”

Speaking to New! magazine she also shared that she doesn’t miss her ‘old life’ and that she doesn’t mind the word influencer.

“I still am now. I’m taking pictures and posting them. I don’t relate to it fully because I do so much more than that, but I don’t shy away from that term.”

She pointed out that she has a “million things and one things to do every day”, but that she feels blessed to have the life she’s ‘dreamed of’.
