Emily Ratajkowski walked down the aisle this weekend – but as the bridesmaid, not the bride.

As it wasn’t her big day, Emily kept things toned down with her outfit, and while her look was a hit for the most part, some commenters on Instagram felt she went just a bit too casual for comfort. Dressed in a pale peach Christy Dawn minidress and nude Stuart Weitzman heels, the actress’s look certainly wasn’t conventional bridesmaid attire.

As one follower was quick to point out, the chiffon fabric of the dress meant it could have done with a quick steam or iron before Emily hit the church.

It looks like she wasn’t the only member of the bridal party to keep things chilled though, as her fellow bridesmaid also went for a shorter look, dressed up with nude T-bar heels. The Gone Girl actress’s dress was a design of her own, which she created for Christy Dawn late last year. The Emily Dress sold out within weeks, but Emily clearly had a few spares in her wardrobe for a special occasion.

The 25-year-old has spoken out before about being judged solely on her image, and says it’s something she began noticing when she was just 11. “I started to realise that I was being perceived differently,” she told the Evening Standard of hitting puberty early on. “Basically it was more about the way that people had a problem with a girl looking like a woman because it confused them, it made them feel uncomfortable and I think there was a lot of guilt that they wanted to induce.”
