The 76th annual Tony Awards were underway last night at the United Palace in New York City.

In true theatrical fashion, the awards had a dramatic “will they, won’t they” dynamic going on for some time, due to the ongoing writers strike.

The brightest stars on the stage came together for the prestigious award ceremony hosted by West Side Story and Hamilton star Ariana DeBose for the second year in a row. The awards are presented by the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League at an annual ceremony in Manhattan.

This year’s most-nominated show was Some Like It Hot with 13 nods, while Juliet, New York, New York and Shucked followed closely with 9 nominations.

Best actress nominations included Jessica Chastain for her leading role in A Doll’s House, and Jodie Comer, Ben Platt, and Audra McDonald were also among the acting nominees.

Lupita grabbed the audiences attention with this custom silver top and classic black suit.

Designed by artist Misha Japanwala, this beautiful plated top showcased her natural body.

“Honored, humbled, strengthened and energized to don this breastplate created by Misha Japanwala, which she cast and molded of my body,” Nyong’o wrote on Instagram.

While she was not nominated for a TONY herself, Lea Michele performed “Don’t Rain on My Parade” for the second time at the Tony Awards.

She performed the number as a representative of Funny Girl, which she currently stars in on Broadway.

She looked stunning on the red carpet in Emilia Wickstead.

The famous songwriter and playwright, wore a classy black suit for the occasion, and accessorised the outfit with a boombox.

His wife of 13 years, Vanessa looked stunning and flashed her midriff in a black top and a matching skirt with a front slit.

Helen was nominated in the best score category for the Korean- and English-language musical “KPOP,” which follows three K-pop acts challenged by strict routines and personal struggles as they prepare for a U.S. concert tour.
