Pamela Anderson is an icon, no doubt about it. Having starred in some of the most notable projects that are still being talked about today, like Bay Watch and Barb Wire. But her career is about to get even more impressive as Pam is going to Broadway!
Pamela will make her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago, performing for eight weeks from the 12th of April to the 5th of June.
She is clearly excited for the role, saying in a press release, “Playing Roxie Hart is a dream fulfilled.”
It seems only fitting the icon that is Pam would make her Broadway debut playing the icon that is Roxie Hart. Roxie is a murderess who kills the man she was having an affair with, becoming a media sensation. The beloved character has been portrayed by the likes of Michelle Williams, Mel B, Christie Brinkley, Brandy Norwood, Brooke Shields, and Renée Zellweger in the 2002 film adaptation.
Pamela also explained just how big a fan of the musical she was, praising the original team. Saying, “I have always been a huge fan of Bob Fosse’s & Gwen Verdon’s work. Ann Reinking, too.

“Performing Fosse, you don’t have time to get in your head. You can’t dance, sing and think at the same time.”
With Bob Fosse writing the original play, Gwen Verdon choreographing, and Ann Reinking choreographing and playing Roxie in the 1996 revival. Continuing to gush about the role, she shared, “there is a freedom, a unique joy in knowing it’s all about the work. Playing Roxie Hart is a sweet escape for me.”
The news comes following Pamela’s announcement of a new tell-all documentary about her life for Netflix. Pamela announced the documentary on her IG, sharing a snap of a piece of paper with the Netflix logo and a lipstick stain. Written on the paper is, “My life / A thousand imperfections / A million misperceptions / Wicked, wild and lost / Nothing to live up to / I can only surprise you / Not a victim, but a survivor / And alive to tell the real story”
Pam’s son Brandon Thomas Lee will be working as a producer on the documentary.

Some believe the documentary is in direct reaction to the new series Pam and Tommy, which details Pam and her ex-husband Tommy Lee’s rocky relationship. The show has been slammed as Pamela chose to not be involved, but the creators went ahead, and it is unclear if she consented at all.
Pam’s close friend Courtney Love took to Facebook to criticise the show. Writing, “I find this so f*cking outrageous,
“When Pam / Tommy sex tape was out / myself @pattyschemel @xmadmx were making a record, and the lone women in many recording studios in LA. Where all / ALL! The staff engineers / producers / owners / were watching the sex tape with huge schadenfreude..
“Guffaws, It was disgusting. I banned anyone discussing it.. It destroyed my friend Pamelas life. Utterly.”
Courtney also hit out at Lily James, who plays Pamela in the show, saying, “My heart goes out to Pammy ♥️♥️ further causing her complex trauma. And shame on Lily James whoever the f*ck she is. #vile,”
