Pamela Anderson Is Sharing Her Feelings On The Controversial Biographical Series Pam & Tommy

Pam & Tommy was one of the most successful series of 2022, earning 10 Emmy nominations, receiving rave reviews – and it can’t take all the credit, but the show definitely played a part in the revival of pencil thin 90’s brows.

But the biopic wasn’t with its controversies as Pamela Anderson, who the series is based on, never gave her permission or support to the series. The actress never called the series directly, but she made her feeling known through several cryptic social media posts, while close friend Courtney Love hit out at the show, for exploiting Pamela’s pain after the private intimate tape of her and ex-husband Tommy Lee was stolen and leaked.

Now, the Baywatch star herself is sharing her thoughts on the series, revealing to the New York Times that actress Lily James sent her a letter before starring as Pamela in the show, but it went unread.

As the Canadian starlet explained: “It was already hurtful enough the first time.

“It’s like one of those things where you’re going, ‘Really?’ People are still capitalizing off that thing?”

The show’s producer Robert Siegal at the time said that after Pamela chose not to engage with the series, they, “respected her desire not to be involved.”

Lily went on the receive two best actress nominations for her work portraying Pamela, a Golden Globe, and an Emmy.

Pamela has been working with Netflix to reclaim the narrative of her story after the infamous show Pam And Tommy took over pop culture last year.

We are very close to being able to see her side of the story as it is launching on Netflix on January 31st.

The doc is described as, “An intimate and humanizing portrait of one of the world’s most famous blonde bombshells, Pamela, a love story follows the trajectory of Pamela Anderson’s life and career from small town girl to international sex symbol, actress, activist and doting mother.”

The trailer has just dropped and we can hear Pamela’s response to her sex tape being brought back up again after blocking it out of her life, “in order to survive”, ” and now that it’s all coming up again, I feel sick,” she explains.
