Phew! Ed Sheeran Will Still Play Phoenix Park Despite Royal Wedding Rumours
"There is no clash"
Recent reports that Ed Sheeran will be performing at the Royal Wedding on May 19 sent the internet into a frenzy on Monday – Irish fans in particular.
Ed is due to play in Dublin’s Phoenix Park the same day Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are due to be hitched, which caused a lot of concern for ticket holders.
However, a representative for Ed’s record label Warner Music has stated the reports are “not true” adding that “there is no clash” as “no one has asked them to do the Royal Wedding”, and Ed will be on stage at the Dublin location as planned.
Ed is due to play in the Phoenix Park on Wednesday May 16, Friday May 18 and Saturday May 19, 2018.
There was speculation that Ed would do both gigs, as the Royal Wedding ceremony is at 12 noon on May 19, which is unlikely, but not impossible!
Would you like to see Ed perform on Harry and Meghan’s big day?
