Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s First Netflix Series Has Been Confirmed
This is the pair's first project as part of a multi million dollar contract.
Netflix has confirmed a new series and production debut for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. As part of their company Archewell Productions which signed a contract with Netflix last year, the pair are set to release a docuseries on the streaming service following the Invictus Games — the global adaptive sports competition Prince Harry founded.
The series which has been directed by Orlando von Einsiedel and produced by Joanna Natasegara will be titled “Heart Of Invictus” and follow a group of international competitors, all service members who experienced life-changing injuries or illnesses, as they prepare for the Invictus Games The Hague 2020 – this event has now been postponed until 2022 due to the ongoing pandemic.
According to Variety, the series will document the competitors training as well as discussing their life stories and all that brought them to this moment in time as they prepare for the annual games.
Prince Harry has been a champion of the Invictus Games since its inception so it’s fitting that Archewell’s first Netflix series will spotlight and celebrate the competition’s amazing athletes.

This will be Netflix’s first title with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who are sure to make a debut in the series, with Prince Harry set to talk on camera.
Other projects apparently in the pipeline include feature films, tv series and even content for children.
According to the royal pair, the aim of Archewell Productions was to create new video which can “embrace our shared humanity and duty to truth through a compassionate lens,” explains the couple’s mission statement.
With a background and highly impressive resume in acting, this project comes as no difficult task for Meghan who has always been very vocal about her love for content creation and production, starring in the hit TV series Suits for seven years until 2018.
As for Prince Harry, executive producing this series will be a first, but as the proud founder of the games since 2014, we’re sure the royal’s passion and enthusiasm for the event will ring through.
Speaking about this new series, Ted Sarandos, Netflix co-CEO and chief content officer spoke about this new partnership with Meghan and Harry by saying:
“From the moment I met them, it’s been clear that the Invictus Games hold a very special place in their hearts, and I couldn’t be happier that their first series for Netflix will showcase that for the world in a way never seen before.”
As for release date, we’re not sure on that yet but we will keep you posted once we know more.
