Rumour Has It Westlife’s Mark Feehily Will Dance In Strictly Come Dancing’s First Same-Sex Couple

Get that Glitter Ball, Markus!

It has been reported that our very own Markus Feehily is set to appear on this season’s UK version of ‘Strictly Come Dancing‘.

The news came to light last weekend, when it was reported that Mark is in talks of appearing on the 2020 show. However, what’s even more excited than this, the producers of the show are looking to have a far more diverse group than previous years, meaning that the traditional male and female dance couples will be replaced by some same-sex couples.

According to The Sun there are reports that the Sligo-born singer is currently in talks to become one of the celebs who will be dancing in a same-sex couple on the show.

The report also stated that Mark is a huge Strictly fan, so it’s looking likely that he won’t refuse the opportunity to take part.

“Mark’s a big Strictly fan. Nearly all the celebs are signed up, but the Beeb are keen to make this work and get him on board.”

If Markus does agree to take part and make history, it’s believed that he will be partnered up with professional dancer  Johannes Radebe, who danced with Coronation Street star, Catherine Tyldesley in 2019.

Mark is yet to comment on the rumours, but in this instance we’re hoping that no news means good news. G’wan Mark win that Glitter Ball!
