Saoirse-Monica Jackson Lands Role In Upcoming DC Superhero Movie

The stars of Derry Girls are going places. After Nicola Coughlan’s runaway success in Bridgerton earlier this year, now her Derry Girls co-star, Saoirse-Monica Jackson is the latest to bag a big role.

The actress who plays Erin Quinn in the hit Channel 4 comedy series, is set to star in a new DC superhero movie.

The upcoming film, called The Flash, is based on the comic of the same name and so far her role in the flick has not yet been revealed.

As with any big Hollywood superhero film, there are lots of other A-listers involved, with Ben Affleck, Ezra Miller and Ron Livingstone set to appear in the film too.

More details have yet to be revealed but the movie is set to be released in November 2022.

Saoirse shared a snap of a news story about the film today to Instagram captioned; “*** screams of absolute glee ***”
