Say Hello To The First Rumoured Contestant Of Love Island 2021

Well, he certainly fits the bill

Now that the countdown to Love Island is officially on, finally, we’re basically counting down the days until we can perch ourselves on the couch for an hour of sheer reality TV bliss six nights a week.

As we don’t have too long left to wait, there are already rumours that the first contestant has been confirmed.

It’s been claimed that professional boxer Harley Benn, the son of boxing legend Nigel Benn, is the first to sign on the dotted line after impressing the producers.

A Love Island insider revealed to The Sun: “Harley’s already got a huge following and gets loads of attention from the girls. He’s had video meetings with the casting team and everyone is very excited at the prospect of having him on the show.”

But it seems that nothing is fully confirmed yet, as a rep for the show insisted that “no decisions have been made on the lineup.”

This comes after the news that Love Island is still accepting applications, and more importantly, they’ve made it clear that they’re accepting LGBTQ+ applications.

A representative shared: “Our only stipulation for applicants on Love Island is that they are over 18, single and looking for love.”

Ugh June, hurry UP!
