Elon Musk, creator of Tesla Inc, has shared that he’s currently developing a chip that will stream music straight to your brain.
For a little more context, Elon co-founded a start-up business four years ago, called Neuralink. The company’s initial aim was to help people with neurological disorders such as anxiety and depression. It also hopes to go on to ‘upgrade’ humans, keeping them up to date and on par with artificial intelligence.
Elon has continued to share updates from the company as it makes developments, with it quickly gaining attention from his followers. Recently, one fan asked if we implanted neuralink could we stream music inside our heads, and Elon told him that yes actually, we could.
If we implement neuralink – can we listen to music directly from our chips? Great feature. https://t.co/RwVLnS5JbL

Giving an update on the chip, Elon spoke on Joe Rogan’s podcast in recent months, saying that he believes the chip will be ready for human testing within the next year.
“There’s still a lot of work to do. So when I say, you know, we’ve probably got a shot at putting it in a person, you know, within a year. I think, that’s exactly what I mean, I think we have a chance of putting input in one end, having them be healthy, and restoring some functionality that they’ve lost.”
Right, so better cross airpods off the wishlist for Christmas then.
It’s been a busy year for Elon, as he and his girlfriend Grimes welcomed their baby, controversially called X Æ A-12, but later changed to X Æ A-Xii to comply with Californian law.
