So, Is Charleen Murphy Going Into Love Island Or Not?

Irish fans of Love Island are convinced that Charleen Murphy will be heading into the villa this summer.

The Irish influencer has been tipped to head into the show since earlier this year.. and we are seriously hoping the rumours are true.

The 27-year-old recently split from her boyfriend of four years, Dano Mandroiu, and has been backed up by former Love Island star Lucinda Strafford.

A source told The Sun: “Charleen split from her boyfriend earlier this year and Lucinda told ITV bosses they should get her on the show.

“She’s really gorgeous and fun and has a lot of Irish charm – she’s been friends with Lucinda for years so of course Lucinda would put a word in for her!”

However, as the line-up for the show was announced Charleen was notably missing.

Worry not, Ireland will be represented by Galway GAA star Séan Fitzgerald, who has become a firm favourite before the show has even aired.

Fans are not giving up hope that Charleen will appear in Love Island as a bombshell later in the show.

However, she is still posting on social media and has even jetted off to Portofino on a brand trip with Penneys. So it looks like she won’t be in the Love Island villa as the first bombshell on June 1st.

Or she could cut her brand trip short and head straight to Mallorca? Who knows.

Cast members of Love Island are usually placed into a “holding villa” up to a fortnight before the show begins. However, the timing changes for bombshells as the show goes on, so there’s a good chance that Charleen could appear in the series later on.
