Someone Made An Event For ‘Mass’ This Sunday On Facebook And The Comments Are Gas
'Lads, can someone give Hozier a lift to this?'
Yes, Pope Francis is on Twitter, but in most ways the Catholic Church is way behind the times in terms of welcoming technology.
Someone on Facebook spotted a niche this week, and had the novel idea to make a legit public event page for Sunday Mass. A massive 14,000 people have clicked ‘Attending’ already, the Mammy-pleasing good Catholics that they are.
The real joy of the page lies in the comments, of course, and there have been hundreds of posts so far. While some of the postings are a bit NSFW, there have been some gems in there.
People are already wondering if the man of the moment is going to make an appearance.
But even if JC doesn’t show up, Hozier’s a shoe-in.
As for St. Paul, he’s been up the walls writing letters to the Corinthians in preparation.
Mass. It’s Catholic-friendly, but is it coeliac-friendly?
Apparently the food in general is *not* great, just to warn you.
But it’s cheap, so there’s that.
A few people can’t make it 🙁
See you Sunday?
