Staying Together? Apparently Ben And Jennifer Don’t Know If Their Divorce Will ‘Ever Happen’

It's been almost a year since they announced their decision to split.

Back when Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced their decision to divorce in July 2015, it seemed like it was a done deal.

First, there was the timing. The couple waited until just after their tenth wedding anniversary to confirm their split, something which many sources said was a tactical move to ensure Jennifer was legally entitled to spousal support from Ben under Californian law.

Then, there was the final farewell – a holiday in Barbados with their three kids, Violet, Seraphina and Sam.

Plus, let’s not forget the real clanger – the family nanny, Christine Ouzunian, with whom it was alleged Ben had been having a long-running affair.

Fast forward almost twelve months however, and it seems Ben and Jennifer may have pressed pause on their decision to part ways.

With Ben still living full-time on the same €14 million property in Los Angeles as Jennifer and their kids – albeit in a separate area cut off from the main house – the pair are reportedly “making it work.”

Not only that, but they have yet to even file for divorce, despite being officially separated for close to a year. That’s according to Entertainment Tonight‘s source, who says the couple “don’t know if that [the divorce] will ever happen.”

For Jennifer’s part, she claimed in a recent interview that Ben’s infidelity had nothing to do with the couple’s decision to split, adding that she had no knowledge of the affair until long after the couple’s divorce announcement.

“We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny,” she told Vanity Fair. “She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation.”

While we highly doubt the pair have managed to forgive and forget quite so soon, it seems like they really are making a go of things.
