Taylor Swift took to the stage in Austin, Texas on Saturday night, October 22nd, for a live gig in front of 80,000 fans at the Formula One US Grand Prix.

Aside from a few impromptu singsongs and a short performance at a Grammys event back in February, this is Taylor’s first concert since wrapping her 1989 World Tour back in December.

The last ten months haven’t been short of drama – she’s had two break-ups, a VERY public feud with Kanye West, and a run-in with his wife Kim Kardashian too – but on Saturday Taylor seemed content to focus on the music rather than trying to set the record straight about any of her celebrity bust-ups.

Thank you Austin, TX. You were EVERYTHING tonight.

Of course, there was still room for a little dig at her ex Calvin Harris…

Midway through the concert Taylor treated fans at the Circuit of the Americas to a stripped-down performance of This Is What You Came For, the song she co-wrote for Calvin. Originally Taylor was credited under a pseudonym, but after the pair split last summer, Taylor’s team revealed she had indeed worked on the song, with Calvin confirming she also did some vocal work on it, alongside Rihanna.

“As a songwriter, the most rewarding feeling in the world is writing something and having a crowd sing it back to you because you know the words,” she told the audience. “I’ve never played this song live before, but you know it. Maybe you can sing along.”

As the song’s origins sparked some very angry tweets from Calvin about “tearing me down” back in July, we reckon it’s no casual coincidence that Taylor chose to play his song last night, at her first gig of 2016. The drama never ends, does it?
