A List Of The 21 NEW Disney Films Set For Release In 2021
21 reasons to get excited about next year!
Walt Disney Studios has confirmed that it will release 21 new movies next year (some of which were meant to be released this year, but re: pandemic).
Dropping the list, we’ve got some serious blockbusters, animated tales, remakes and live-action movies set to join the bill of incredible Disney flicks already out there.
So, what are we getting?
To start off, Black Widow, Eternals and Jungle Cruise are some of the films now set for a 2021 release date, although they were originally scheduled for 2020.
Here’s a full list of what’s also in store…
The Kings Man -Matthew Vaughn will be returning to close out this trilogy, which also stars Djimon Hounsou, Charles Dance, Harris Dickinson and Ralph Fiennes.
Everyone’s Talking About Jamie – movie adaptation of the hit musical, starring Max Harwood, Sarah Lancashire, Lauren Patel, and Richard E. Grant.
Antlers – horror-thriller based around a school teacher and a dangerous student.
Raya And The Last Dragon – from the directors of Frozen, an animated tale about humans and dragons living as one.
Bob’s Burgers – another 2020 delayed release, this movie is set for a April release date in the US.
Ron’s Gone Wrong – an animated flick about a boy and his robot.
Black Widow – Scarlett Johansson will be back on the big screen one more time in her Avengers’ role. The movie also stars David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, and Rachel Weisz.
Cruella – a major one that has us excited. Emma Stone is going to play the iconic “101 Dalmatians” villain in a live-action movie all about the evil puppy-snatcher herself.
Luca – the next movie from Pixar is a flick about a boy who spends summer on the French Riviera (nice, eh?), with his sea monster BFF.
Shang Chi And The Legend Of The 10 Rings – If you love kung fu, you’re going to love this one!
Jungle Cruise – another one with a stellar cast, Jungle Cruise sees Emily Blunt and the Rock join forces for an exploratory mission into the jungle.
Deep Water – starring Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas, the movie is a thriller following a couple who fall out of love and start playing mind games with each other.
The Beatles: Get Back – documentary and behind the scenes look at the iconic band, made with over 55 hours of unseen footage.
The Last Duel – WELL, we could write a book on this one, starring our “very own” Matt Damon, and having been shot in Ireland for a lot of it. This movie is expected to be released next October.

Eternals – Disney and Marvel are hoping big things for this flick, centred around immortal beings created by cosmic gods.
West Side Story – the 1961 movie is getting a remake, directed and co-produced by Steven Spielberg, with Ansel Elgort and Rachel Zegler as the leads, yes, yes and YES.
The French Dispatch – with a serious cast already in the pipeline (although little details), this movie is set to be directed by Wes Anderson, starring Timotheé Chalamet, Bill Murray and Owen Wilson.
The Eyes Of Tammy Faye – movie based on the documentary following the history of televangelists Tammy Faye and Jim Bakker.
Aside from that, Disney are also working on three other movies that they haven’t disclosed for next year, one of them apparently being a live-action remake of The Little Mermaid.
We will keep you updated as we know more! Exciting!
