Bling Empire Fans, Season 2 Is Now Confirmed And Here’s What We Know
Netflix is banging out the renewals and we're thrillt!
If you were obsessed with the rich and glam lifestyle of the Asian and Asian-Americans that graced your screen for season one of Bling Empire – which first aired in January of this year, well, get excited, because season two is coming.
Filling that Selling Sunset void for us (which has also just been renewed click here!) Bling Empire was like Crazy Rich Asians meets The Hills and let me tell you, it was no short of drama, fashion, cash and parties.
In season one we got to meet a whole host of characters from the King and Queen of Beverly Hills plastic surgery Dr Gabriel Chiu and his wife Christine Chiu, to the self titled “Queen of Los Angeles” Anna Shay, the lovable heir to mega real estate and malls, Kane Lim, to his model BFF and equally lovable guy Kevin Kreider – season one certainly served and we sipped.
Now, with season two confirmed, what can we expect?
Well, what we do know is that it’s set to have a 2021 release date, with talks that it’ll take to the screen around autumn of this year.
In terms of cast, it’ll come as no surprise to fans of season one that Christine Chiu has already hinted that she’ll have a big role to play. Speaking to oprahmag.com, she said:
“If you thought I dropped a big bomb in season 1, then you have no idea.”
So, just sit on that one.
The show’s executive producer Jeff Jenkins also noted that the show’s very prominent Kevin-Kelly-Andrew love triangle will hopefully deliver a little bit more clarity in season two.
“Kevin isn’t a fan of the Kelly/Drew relationship and would like to supplant Drew, but I don’t know if he’s ever going to succeed,” says Jenkins.
“God willing, we’ll get to continue telling the stories of these people and we’ll all find out because I’m just as interested as the next person to find out how it ends,” he told the publication.
Well, there you have it. Roll on season two we say.
As for Bling Empire newbs, it’s time to catch up stat – season one of the show is available on Netflix to stream now.
