What We Learned From The White Lotus Season 3 Trailer

The White Lotus season 3 is coming soon – and don’t you know, the trailer just dropped this week!

The upcoming series of the HBO anthology drama comedy series is set in Thailand, and features a whole new cast, and a whole new death.

Here’s everything we’ve learned from the trailer.

Spirituality is not safe

The trailer shows newcomers Carrie Coon, Jason Isaacs, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and more indulging in some extreme wellness and spirituality in the White Lotus Thailand.

But all is not as it seems, as these privileged guests are about to learn why luxury does not always equal relaxation.

“Everyone runs from pain towards pleasure,” says a Buddhist monk. “But they get there only to find more pain.” Nice.

Natasha Rothwell is back!

Fan fav Belinda (played by Rothwell) is returning to the series, and this time her masseuse career is taking her to the white sands of Thailand… on an exchange programme none the less.

“I’m starting to feel like something good is going to come out of this,” she says in the trailer.

Probably not, girl.

A K-pop star has joined the cast

It was reported earlier this year that Lalisa Manobal, member of next level popular K-pop group Blackpink, was joining the series’ cast.

And now we know in what capacity. The Thai native seemingly plays a dancer in the upcoming series – at least according to the trailer anyway.

We get to go outside the resort again

HBO partnered with the Thailand Tourism Board for this season of the show, so you can be sure that we’re going to see a lot of what the stunning country has to offer.

Shooting took place earlier this year primarily in the Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui, as well as Bangkok and Phuket.

Jennifer Coolidge won’t be returning

… Or will she?

Coolidge’s character was tragically killed off in season 2, but hey, that doesn’t mean that a White Lotus fav like her won’t find a way to come back.

Maybe season 3 is set before the events of season 2. Maybe she’ll return as a totally new character. Maybe she’s a ghost.

We’ll just have to wait and see, I guess. Check out the trailer below.
