What You Need To Know About You Season 3
We couldn't be more ready for this if we tried.

Netflix hit show You has finally announced its launch date for season three.
The streaming service confirmed this week that the new season will land on October 15th.
In the new episodes, Joe and Love are getting ready to welcome their baby boy. The teaser trailer, which also dropped this week, gave us a sneak peek at the couple as parents – seeing them choose a name for their first child
While we don’t see a lot of Joe or Love in the trailer, we do see them putting together a big cake to celebrate their son.

We hear Joe (played by Penn Badgley) thinking of names for the new arrival.
“People these days will name their kids anything to get attention,” he says.
“A boy is not what we expected, and I would be lying if I said that the thought of mini me was purely exciting and not without challenges,” Joe says.
“Let’s just say I’m hoping you’ll do as I say, not as I do. But for you, I can change. I’ll be a man you look up to. A man you’ll be proud to call Dad.”
Continuing, he adds: “So, what do call you? A name that’s strong but not intimidating, classic but not basic. Literary of course, because you’ll grow up in a house full of books.”
Joe then reveals it will be Henry.
“Choosing your name is the first of a lifetime of decisions I’ll make to give you the best life possible. To protect you. To shape who you’ll become. Who are you going to be… Henry?”
Chills right?

For those who need a recap, season two ended with Joe living with his then pregnant girlfriend, Love – who is equally as terrifying, fyi – in their new home outside the city.
Just before the final episode ends we saw Joe spot his new, gorgeous neighbour, and his familiar voiceover begins to let us know that he’s found his latest obsession.

Earlier this year, lead producer Sera Gamble also shared her thoughts on what viewers can expect from the new season:
“The episodes are f**king bonkers and the performances are insanely good.
“That’s all I’ll say about that till we are ready to talk about the new season.”
Yep, we thought they would struggle to top the weirdness of season two, but it looks like its set to get even weirder.
Roll on October 15th.
