Three Women Were Among The 17 Arrested Today For Kim Kardashian’s Paris Robbery
It's thought they tailed Kim through Paris in the days before the robbery.
Police in Paris today revealed they are questioning 17 people in connection with Kim Kardashian’s gunpoint attack in Paris on October 3rd, 2016.
Among the group of alleged “veteran armed robbers” taken in by French police are three women, who are believed to have tailed Kim around Paris in the days leading up to the robbery. The remaining members of the group are men aged between 50 and 72, two of whom are diamond dealers, according to TMZ.
Kim was bound and gagged at gunpoint at Paris’s Hotel de Portáles in October, with thieves walking away with an estimated €11million worth of jewellery, including a 20-carat diamond ring worth €4.5million.
Speaking to the media today, Kim’s lawyer Jean Vail said he hoped the arrests would put an end to the “outrageous” speculation that the robbery was a publicity stunt, and added that his client was looking forward to “turning her nose up” at those who refused to believe the attack was legitimate.
“These arrests are a nice surprise because on the one hand, it will perhaps make it possible to find the jewellery,” he said.
“On the other hand, it puts an end to the outrageous speculation by some, who thought it was intelligent to pretend that this robbery was staged, or a publicity stunt organised by Ms Kardashian.”
Last week, Kim returned to social media after three months of radio silence, taking to Instagram to share a photo of her husband and two young children, and later answering a series of fan questions on Twitter.
