‘Two It Is’: Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Are Expecting A Baby Girl

The pair shared the exciting news in the tell-all Oprah interview last night.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey aired last night, March 7 on CBS, whereby the couple revealed the sex of their second child, a little girl.

A sister for their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the pair shared their delight, with Harry saying:

“To have a boy then a girl, what more can you ask for?”

Adding that “two it is” in terms of children for the pair, a beaming Harry continued that their family is nearly complete, upon arrival of their little girl this summer.

“Grateful, having any child, any one or a two would have been amazing, but to have a boy and then a girl… now we’ve got our family and we’ve got four of us,” Harry added.

Breaking the news on Valentine’s Day, Harry and Meghan shared that they would be welcoming another child, heartwarming celebrations for the pair who devastatingly suffered a miscarriage the prior July.

Speaking about the grief of losing a child at the time, Meghan penned an essay in the New York Times, speaking about how she was feeling and the toll it took on her mind and body.

“Losing a child means carrying an almost unbearable grief, experienced by many but talked about by few,” she wrote. You can read that essay here.

Now living in California after officially stepping down from their royal titles last year, Meghan and Harry look forward to raising their kids in California.

You can watch their interview with Oprah Winfrey tonight on RTÉ2 at 9:30pm.
