Usher is about to become the next superstar of the Super Bowl halftime show.
The announcement came in an unexpected video from none other than Kim Kardashian.
In the announcement video, Kim called him up to let him know he’s the halftime headliner. Super Bowl LVIII is set for Feb. 11, 2024, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Using moments from his song Confessions, Pt. II, Kim said: “I finally got the answer to those rumours. It’s not about me, it’s about you. You’re doing the Super Bowl.”
She then referenced Usher’s Vegas residency, saying: “I’ve seen you in Vegas twice, but this one has to be different.”
Apple Music shared a number of similar videos which included cameos from the likes of NFL coach Deion Sanders, Seattle Seahawks player Marshawn Lynch, Baltimore Ravens player Odell Beckham Jr. and even Usher calling up his younger self to share the news.

Usher later shared a statement, he said: “It’s an honour of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”
On Sunday Usher announced that a brand new album is coming our way very soon. He stated the release date as February 11th 2024 – the same day as the Super Bowl. The album will be entitled Coming Home and will be,” a love letter once again to the legacy of my career,”according to the man himself.
Last year’s Super Bowl saw Rihanna reveal her second pregnancy during the halftime show, an iconic moment in pop culture history.
Who’s excited to tune in, in February?
