What Team STELLAR Is Loving This Week

What we are loving, talking about and obsessing over this week.

Welcome back to the weekly low-down on what we are chatting about here on team STELLAR, and we chat A LOT. It’s always fun letting you guys know a bit more about us since you’re reading our work daily on site and monthly in the mag.

Enjoy catching up with us over a cuppa and read our faves this week:

Specifically caves in Tipperary.

Mitchelstown Cave is the perfect spot for having a wander, exploring the darkness, and even taking pics – that is, if you’ve got yourself a new Samsung Galaxy S23.

This month, the brand is bringing some lucky folks on a trip to experience Talos perform a special set in the cave. While there, they’ll enjoy the beauty of the cave,  some music, and check out the product’s improved Nightography capabilities.

Sounds like a fun night indeed.

Lorna is loving… pilates

I was an Irish dancer from the age of 4. I joined a pilates class at 16 to help me build my core and attempt to pull myself up into the air. It truly did wonders for my body and my mind because I could both see and feel myself getting stronger without having to lift weights.

I’ve only recently gotten back into pilates after about 6 years away from it and I am absolutely loving it. It’s calming for my mind that tends to get overrun with self doubt and it’s also incredible for my inner critic who believed I would never have the motivation to get strong physically again. It’s been fun, rewarding and difficult all at once and it’s a challenge I have lowed setting for myself – we love a self care move!

Jade C is loving… a rewatch podcast

I first came across this type of podcast after I had binged Laguna Beach earlier this year (shoutout to Jade H for the inspo) I adored the show, everything you want and more from a teen ‘reality’ show.

Two of the lead characters on the show Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti, are now re-watching the show, nearly twenty years later and giving listeners their behind-the-scenes stories, real opinions and clearing up what was real and not real as they go. It truly is entertainment gold, especially considering this pair were in an on-off relationship on it.

Another pod of the same genre I have found is the Wizards Of Waverly Pod (great name), this is for all my Disney Kids. Jennifer Stone and David DeLuise who played Harper Finkle and Gerry Russo are rewatching the Disney Channel show and sharing their memories from the time. They even interviewed Selena Gomez recently which was so sweet and seeing them together fuelled my nostalgia.

Next time you’re out for a walk give one of them a try, or find out if your favourite show has a rewatch pod!

Jade H is loving… sustainable fashion

And lucky for me, a new sustainable fashion show has just dropped on the Virgin Media Player.

Love, Style, Repeat sees some well-known Irish fashion faces make some changes to their wardrobes in a bid to more sustainable. The new series sees hosts Sophie Vavasseur and Irena Drezi take to the streets (and homes) to encourage more people to be more sustainably minded.

Louise Cooney, Katja Mia, and even John Paul Gaultier feature on the show, chatting all things about size inclusivity, better buying, and how shopping sustainably can be a reality for all.

The series is streaming now on the VM player, so if you’re looking for something to binge this weekend, look no further.

Lorna is loving… Bondi Sands 1 Hour Express Foam Tan

A post shared by Bondi Sands (@bondisands)

I’ve been wearing tan pretty much every weekend since I was 12-years-old. As a dancer it was a necessity to wear ridiculously dark tan so that you weren’t washed out by the stage lights. As I got older and started going out more it just became part of my weekly routine to have tan on for a dance competition and then to re -apply before I went out with my friends. As a result I’ve had the pleasure of trying pretty much every tan you can think of and I’m still searching for my favourite one.

This past week I tried out the Bondi Sands 1 Hour Express Tanning Foam and I have to say I was pretty ecstatic with how it turned out. It was smooth, streak free, didn’t stick to any dry patches, didn’t transfer onto my sheets or clothes and it came out a beautiful sun kissed shade.

I’ve had a lot of issues with tan coming up green on my skin but this is not something I experienced with Bondi Sands thankfully, I wasn’t really going for the whole Grinch look in March. The one thing I might change about the tan is the smell, it has that typical tan smell, I describe it as chocolate curry but it’s probably different for everyone. Bondi Sands you may have just risen to the top of my tan list!

Jade C is loving…Hoola Bronzer

I am very very late to the party, I know. In fact, I think that people are already moving on to the after party this product has been around and loved for so long BUT, I have finally tried the iconic Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer and I can confirm (not that anyone needs it) that it is, that good. Don’t ask me how I have only tried it now, I tend to be a creature of habit with my makeup routine, but I am truly blessed in my job that I am sent some beautiful products and so I have been trying out some newness (to me) lately.

Shoutout to Benefit for putting me on to this even though I am the last person in the world to try it! Now, it’s definitely a staple in my beauty bag.
