Who Are The Other Hadid Sisters, Alana And Marielle?

Gigi and Bella Hadid are household names for the younger generation – the supermodels are instantly recognisable. Their brother Anwar has also been steadily accumulating fame, mostly for dating pop singer Dua Lipa.

But who you may not recognise (even if they look oddly familiar) are their two older sisters; Alana and Marielle. It turns out the family is bigger than we expected – and they’re a close knit bunch!

Mohamed Hadid, father to the five, is a Palestinian businessman and real estate developer. He had his first two daughters, Alana and Marielle, during his marriage to Mary Butler. He then met Dutch model Yolanda Hadid, going on to have Gigi, Bella and Anwar.

So, who are Marielle and Alana?

Well, Alana recently hit headlines as she made her runway debut. She’s a 40 year old fashion designer (and style icon – seriously, check out her feed) based in New York, and the younger of the two sisters.

In an interview with Vogue, Alana shared that Bella and Gigi were delighted to see their sister embarking on a new modelling career.

“We’re excited for each other for everything we do” she said, adding “Obviously they know how exhilarating being on a runway is, so they’re excited for me for sure.”

We love that they all uplift each other!

Marielle is the oldest of the girls, and has a homemaking company, Living Well with Marielle, which includes interior design services, closet reorganising, party planning and holiday decorating.

The 42 year old has two kids, Coco and Colton. We wonder if they have play dates with Gigi’s daughter Khai…what an incredible family they belong to!
