Why Charleen Always Should’ve Been A Regular Bombshell
Roll on All Stars, honestly
Charleen Murphy was dumped from the Love Island villa last night – and every woman in Ireland is devastated.
The Dublin gal was dumped following an explosive recoupling that saw Kavan rekindle his relationship with Jasmine, ultimately leaving Charleen single.
And yes, it’s sad. Yes, it’s annoying. Yes, it’s potentially going to stop me from watching this year’s series (even though I know I’ll be sat at 9pm tonight for my sins).
But was it maybe also a given considering she went in as a Casa Girl and not, as we all expected, as a regular bombshell?
Look, ‘Casa Girl’ shouldn’t be a dirty word – these gals are just as stunning, just as fun, just as intent as finding a connection in the villa.
But coming in at Casa Amor is always going to be an uphill battle.
You’re coming in at the midway point of the show, connections have been formed, fan favs have been decided.
Your main goal is to the make it to the main villa, and to do that you’re more than likely going to be stepping on toes and pissing off the OG girls…
Even if you do go for a boy who isn’t in a strong couple, it’s so, so rare for an OG boy and a Casa girl to go the distance. You haven’t known each other for long enough, the depth just isn’t there for audiences to be as interested.
There was so much hyped around Charleen. Like, an insane amount. Probably more than there has ever been for a rumoured islander before.
And even though that made her eventual reveal satisfying, there was also so much pressure for her to deliver. For her to bombshell like no other bombshell has ever bombshelled before.
And that’s incredibly hard to do when there’s five other bombshells coming in alongside you.
Charleen should’ve been a regular bombshell – hands down.
She should have arrived on the first night, made a beeline for Fizty, and shook the villa to its core. She would’ve had time to show more of her personality, consider her options, and most importantly, would probably still be there.
She wouldn’t have had to contend with Jasmine, Lola, and the entire British public, who seemed intent on her downfall simply because she’s an influencer.
She would’ve given us the summer of Charleen we were hoping for.
But look, it’s fine. We’re not bitter at all.
Charleen’s leaving that villa with 200k extra followers and the support of every gal in Ireland.
And she’ll absolutely kill it on All Stars, let’s be honest.
