Will Smith Speaks Out About ‘Brutiful’ Relationship With Wife Jada

Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett are known for being unusually open with the public about their relationship.

Over the years, we’ve had a number of insights into their marriage; though none shocked fans quite as much as Jada’s recent revelation that her and Will have been quietly separated for a long time.

In an intimate interview on the Today show, Jada shared that while they never divorced “on paper”, their relationship broke down some time ago.

“By the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted with trying.”

People were surprised to learn that for seven years the Pinkett Smiths haven’t been romantically involved, especially considering Will’s aggressive defence of her at the 2022 Oscars.

Now, Will is speaking up following Jada’s comments, to discuss the “tumultuous” relationship he’s had with his wife.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Will made an appearance on Jada’s tour for her new book, Worthy.

The Hancock actor showed up in Baltimore at the event to support his wife, despite their separation.

Will told the audience, “We call [our relationship] ‘brutiful’. It was brutal and beautiful at the same time.”

The Baltimore Banner reported that Will went on to say that his relationship with Jada has been a “sloppy public experiment in unconditional love,” asking the audience, “Can you show up and love somebody for the rest of your life, even when you don’t agree with them?”

He then answered his own question by saying that he is always “going to show up for [Jada] and support her for the rest of my life.”

Will also described the success of his career as being “largely built on the foundation of Jada’s sacrifices,” going on to say, “Jada is the best friend I have ever had on this planet.”

Well – there you have it folks. They may have an unconventional relationship, but it looks like theres still a lot of love between this famous pair.
