Robbie Brady’s Brother Forgetting How To Bless Himself Sums Up How We All Felt Last Night

Irish fans at home, in Lille and the world over were celebrating last night after a late goal by Robbie Brady secured the boys in green a place in the EURO 2016 last 16.

Despite a strong first half, tensions were high as the final minutes of the match approached, but a historic header by Brady meant Ireland walked away with a 1-0 victory against their Italian opponents.

One fan reaction we were loving last night was that of Robbie Brady’s brother Cian, who was spotted trying and failing to bless himself as another family member cheered on his shoulders.

The moment was captured by Twitter user Allan Mathews over on Snapchat and it’s since gone über-viral.

Cian’s not the only one whose emotional reaction had hearts melting last night. Our own President, Michael D Higgins was spotted dancing in the crowd seconds after the goal hit the net.

Ah Squee, how we adore thee.

Ireland’s next match takes place this Sunday June 26th at 2pm in Lyon, when we’ll be taking on France.
