Kanye West Is Set To Visit Donald Trump In The White House This Week

The visit comes after Kanye's pro-Trump rant on SNL last month.

Kanye West is reported to be visiting Donald Trump in the White House on Thursday.

The rapper is said to be meeting with the president and his son-in-law and senior advisor Jared Kushner, according to the New York Times.

Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said Trump and Kanye will discuss manufacturing resurgence, prison reform, how to prevent gang violence, and what can be done to reduce violence in Chicago.

The 41-year-old caused a stir on social media last month after he went on a pro-Trump rant while appearing on Saturday Night Live. Luckily for him, he’ll be sitting down with his hero this week to tell him how much he really loves him in person.

Trump proudly mentioned Kanye’s SNL appearance at a rally last Monday in Tennessee. He also tweeted about the rant, saying Kanye was “leading the charge!”

Trump and Kushner recently met with Kim Kardashian West, about sentencing overhauls. It was at her urging that Trump commuted the life sentence of Alice Johnson, an African-American woman serving time in a drug-related case.

This isn’t the first time the rapper and president will have met, the two originally met in December 2016 after Kanye announced his support for Trump during a concert following the election.

“I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues,” West tweeted at the time following the meeting. “I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.”
