Another one(s) bite the dust

While it may have seemed like the year of love for some couples who were either getting engaged or having some extravagant wedding, for others it was the year that ended some of Hollywood’s longest running relationships.

From couples who seemed like they were destined to be together for forever, to many on and off relationships that finally cut ties this year, we have a lowdown of all the breakups that happened in show business in 2026.

Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan

The unlikely couple was rumoured to have broken off their relationship in early 2025. However, after Sabrina released her new album, Mans Best Friend, back in September, it was clear the pair had split after some lyrics revealed insights into the pair’s relationship and break up. Manchild, anyone?

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom

After nine years together, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom called it quits back in July. While the pair weren’t married, they were engaged since 2019 and had a four-year-old daughter together. The pair have said that throughout all of this they will focus on co-parenting and continue to raise their daughter with mutual respect – we are sad to hear about this one, but kind of obsessed with Katy dating former Canadian president Justin Trudeau now.

This split shook the showbiz community, as one of Hollywood’s favourite couples, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, made the decision to split after 20 years of marriage. The news came after it was confirmed that Kidman has filed for divorce back in September of this year after irreconcilable differences– we really thought they were the “it” Hollywood couple!

The pair have been together on and off for the last twenty years, so while the split wasn’t a shock, it did come as a surprise that things have possibly ended for good. It seemed that these two were set to be on and off for life!

According to reports, the ‘Drivers Licence’ singer and House of Guinness actor have called it quits after two years of dating. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but Olivia was seen at Lily Allen’s Christmas party crying over the breakup. Say it ain’t so!
