Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk Split And The Lady Gaga Memes Are Flying

People have been ‘shipping Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga essentially since the pair were announced as Ally and Jackson in A Star is Born.

Their chemistry in the film, their clear friendship during press junkets and premieres, and of course their dramatic romantic performance of Shallow at the Academy Awards.

There was one problem though, Bradley was in a long term relationship with model Irina Shayk. The couple were together for four years and have one daughter Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper (we’re not sure how many of those words are surnames) who is two.

This week the news broke the Bradley and Irina have officially split after a lot of rumours about them ‘spending time apart’.

People were sad for about five minutes until they realised this meant their A Star is Born dreams could finally come true – hopefully it a much healthier, less turbulent relationship in real life!

Lady Gaga has been single since February after she and Christian Carino called off their engagement. Fun fact: her previous partner Taylor Kinney was recently spotted in Ireland with a Fade Street star, but we digress…

Now Lady Gaga dismissed the rumours after their Oscars performance, essentially saying that they are just two good actors who worked hard. And they very well may be.

“Yes, people saw love, and guess what? That’s what we wanted you to see. This, “Shallow”, is a love song. The movie, A Star Is Born, is a love story. We worked so hard, we worked all week on that performance … It was just great, and from a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time,” she told Jimmy Kimmel.

“I’m an artist, and I guess we did a good job,” she added.

Time will tell.
