It seems like a lifetime ago since the 2019 cast of Love Island were on our screens. It was the last summer showing of Love Island before the pandemic, and tbh, it served us well.

But in an interesting turn of events, it turns out that Anton now doesn’t speak to his fellow islanders, bar one.

Speaking on CASA Spin podcast, Anton spilled on exactly why he doesn’t spend time with, or even speak with the rest of the cast, saying they’ve “forgot where they came from”.

“People come off the show, get their blue tick, get their million followers and go so far up their a**es it’s unbelievable. It’s quite sad but at the same time, I always appreciate the journey I had with the people in there.

“I only speak to Anna, that’s it,” he continued. “Me and Anna are very close.”

Speaking about the friendships he had while in the villa, Anton shared that he thought it was going to be for the long run. “The friendships are massive, they’re really, really big in there,” he said. “You think they’re gonna last forever and they feel like [brothers] and sisters but obviously sometimes it just doesn’t end up that way.”

Fast forward to this year’s Love Island, after last night’s dramatic dumping, Georgia has shared that she thinks Hugo might have his eye on Chloe and Lucinda, more on that right here.
