Tommy Fury might have pulled out from fighting Jake Paul earlier this week, but it looks as though the beef between the Fury and Paul family continues after world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury defended his brother Tommy and his reasons for dropping out of the fight.

“[Tommy] don’t need Jake Paul to define his career,” Tyson told IFL TV before continuing to talk to more publications and shed some thoughts.

Explaining that Jake Paul and his brother Logan are of no interest to him, Tyson admitted that if “you don’t like the language, get f****d,” while cursing the brothers out of it, more than likely as a retaliation to Jake’s words on Tommy’s drop out.

In a video on Twitter, Jake said, “”It is official, Tommy Fury is boxing’s biggest b****. He has pulled out of the fight. The Furys have pulled out of the fight due to a medical condition.

“Who knows what the f*** is going on in that camp? I think he has a bad case of purseitis. I couldn’t believe the news at first, it still doesn’t even seem real.

“He fumbled the biggest bag of his life. Now he’ll be watching at home, paying $60 instead of being paid millions of dollars to fight me.”

As to why Tommy had to drop out, well, it looks as though medical reasons were preventing him from taking to the ring on December 18th.

In a video post to Instagram, Tommy explained he had to pull out of the fight due to an infection and broken rib. Saying, “Training Camp couldn’t have gone any better for me for the first week, two weeks. But then I contracted a bacterial chest infection which led me to go to the gym, and just not being able to breathe.”

Continuing, he added:

“It took their doctor and my whole team to really say listen, you’ve got a broken rib and multiple fractures here like you can’t fight, and even now sitting here filming this video hasn’t really sunk in, I’m not fighting.”

However, disappointed fans can rest assure the pair are planning a rematch, while Jake will continue to take to the ring on December 18th, fighting Tyron Woodley.
