Demi Lovato Is ‘Doing Well’ And Expected To Leave Hospital Later This Week

The star is still in hospital nine days after her suspected overdose.

Last week, Demi Lovato was found unconscious in her home following an apparent overdose – the singer has had a long history with addiction, celebrating six years of sobriety in March.

Earlier this week, CNN reported that she was suffering ‘complications’ from the overdose, but TMZ now say that the singer is expected to leave hospital within the next few days.

A source told the gossip website that Demi has ‘stabilised’ and is doing well.

However the source has also revealed that Demi’s nearest and dearest, including those that work with her, have given her an ultimatum – either go straight to rehab, or they walk.

“She could die if she doesn’t, and it’s not going to be on my watch that we did nothing,” said the source.

The star previously entered treatment for addiction and an eating disorder in 2011, and moved into a sober living facility for more than a year.

According to People, her loved ones believe the only way for her to fully recover is to exit the limelight completely:

She needs to get out of this whole system that she has been in since she was 13.

Demi’s ex-boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama has also been seen visiting the hospital to be by her side – a source told People that he has been a ‘rock’ for her during this tough time.

There’s been no official confirmation yet as to how exactly the singer is doing, but we’re crossing all our fingers and toes that Demi will be fine.
