Domhnall Gleeson Is Leading The New Office Spin Off – Yes, Really

The Office has been reworked over and over again as different countries around the globe making their own version of the sitcom.

Arguably the most successful version of the show came from the US. (Although some may argue the original UK version is the best.)

And we’re getting another look into the wild world of The Office with a new spin-off…. with Domhnall Gleeson as the lead.

It’s safe to say we’re excited for this one!

Domhnall will star alongside The Office cast member Oscar Nunez, as well as Sabrina Impacciatore from The White Lotus.

This show is entitled, The Paper.

The official synopsis reads: “The documentary crew that immortalised Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch is in search of a new subject when they discover a historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it.”

The series takes place in the offices of the Toledo Truth-Teller.

Oscar is now working as an accountant for the paper, while Sabrina plays the managing editor. Our Domhnall takes on the role of a bright-eyed, bushy-tailed new employee who wants to bring the paper back to its glory.

The show also stars Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, and Tim Key.

Greg Daniels, who developed The Office for American television, has co-created this new series with Michael Koman.

We don’t have an air date for this one in Ireland just yet, but we’re keeping our ear to the ground!
