Shay Mitchell Has Welcomed Her First Child With Partner Matte Babel

Shay has just announced the news on her Instagram!

Ever since Pretty Little Liars graced our screens way back in 2010 (we can’t believe it either!), we’ve been basically obsessed with Shay Mitchell. What’s not to love? Now, the star has announced over on her Instagram page that she and her partner Matte Babel have welcomed their first child together.

Shay shared the adorable photo of her holding her baby’s hand, with the caption “Never letting go…” – the cuteness!

After announcing her pregnancy back in June, Shay has been documenting her journey over on her YouTube channel in a docu-series named ‘Almost Ready’. We couldn’t have expected anything less, after the gender reveal was released on her YouTube channel. We thought we had seen it all when it came to gender reveal parties, but we have to say, this one really knocked it out of the park.

Basically, we looked on as one blue Power Ranger fought with one pink Power Ranger, and the winner revealed the gender! The pink Power Ranger came out on top, meaning that the couple were welcoming a baby girl. Oh, how the other half live!

This comes after Shay announced at the start of 2019 that she had sadly suffered a miscarriage in 2018. Shay shared her struggles with her Instagram followers: “In the spirit of the new year, I think that we need to remember that we are all on this journey together—in good times and in bad—and to remind ourselves that we seldom really know or understand the struggles and hardships that other people are going through.”

She had previously explained that after losing her first child, she was hesitant and scared to celebrate this pregnancy. After waiting for what Shay felt was time enough to share her news, she felt more comfortable announcing her pregnancy.

As for the baby girl’s name, the couple agreed straight away, but are yet to let us in on what they chose. Honestly? We can’t wait to hear the name.

We can only hope that the new mam will continue to share her parenting journey along the way, should we be expecting more Power Rangers?
