Following in the footsteps of some Love Island greats like Maura Higgins, Greg O’Shea, and Yewande Biala, Love Island’s presenter Laura Whitmore admitted that she’s hopeful some Irish talent will enter the villa this week, if Casa Amor goes ahead as predicted.
The Independent has worked out that usually Casa Amor takes place on the 4th week of the series. So, if our calculations are correct, we should expect the segment kick starting this week around the 23rd to the 26th of July.
Known for causing a massive stir in the villa in previous seasons, Casa Amor sees the male and female contestants split up, with each of them being joined with a selection of bombshells of the opposite sex. And as you can imagine, this is when Laura Whitmore thinks an Irish contestant might enter the villa.
“I bloody well hope so,” explained Laura. “I’ve nothing to do with casting so I don’t know anything about who’s going in, but I just have a feeling there might be someone in Casa Amor, whenever that happens, but I don’t know!”
Admitting that she’ll be back in the villa when “sh*t hits the fan,” Laura continued answering fans Q&As over on her Instagram Story, spilling some Love Island tea and explaining her absence from the villa, once again.
Taking to Twitter over the last week, fans of the show asked ‘when is @thewhitmore going back into the villa?’ While others added ‘the last time we saw Laura Whitmore was day one,’ questioning where she has been during moments like the dumpings and recouplings, when you might see her appear.
Addressing the situation on Twitter and again on Instagram this week, Laura revealed that as part of her Love Island contract she’s been in London doing the weekly Aftersun live show where Love Island is discussed and reviewed in studio alongside some special guests and fans.
Adding that with Mallorca going from amber to green and then amber again on the fly list, it’s a little bit more challenging logistics wise, but they’re making it work.
One thing’s for sure, whoever arrives come Casa Amor, we’re more than ready to meet you.
